Discovering the Indigo

indigo

One of the few things that people are continuously contacting me about is their discovery or confirmation that they’re an Indigo Adult. It’s probably the topic that brings most people to this blog, as they search for more information on Indigo Children and Indigo Adults. I had someone contact me today who mentioned that they’re an Indigo Scout, which I hadn’t heard of before.

You can find out a bit more about being Indigo here: Are you an Indigo Adult?

After doing a little bit of research I’ve found that Indigo Scouts are those Indigos are are in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s who are here to help other younger Indigos.

I’m in my 40’s, and I like helping others….. maybe I’m a Scout too.

But really, I have no idea about what it means to be Indigo, or what answers I can provide people. Not yet, at least. The fact that so many people keep finding this place and getting in touch with me about their life and their challenges and being Indigo…. it makes me feel that maybe there’s something in this that I need to explore some more.

I know I’m an Indigo. I know Indigos are here to help others. I know I help others, and I want to help a lot more than I currently do. So I’m thinking that I need to start looking at what Indigos are searching for, and see if I can come up with something that’ll help give them some solid answers.

So far, what I’ve been telling them is that Indigos are here to help others, and they’ve had unique lives of hardship to better understand and empathise with the hardships that others are facing, so that they can help them through their hardships.

We all have a reason for being alive. Even if they don’t believe there’s a ‘reason’ as such, they still feel it in their heart that there’s something better that they could be doing with their lives. Something bigger than themselves that they should be part of. But they don’t know what it is.

It’s about providing a service to people, helping them with their lives, helping them grow. When we can find our calling, in ways that help others, then we find that we’re living our purpose.

To anyone that’s an Indigo, and wondering what you should be doing, I’m here to tell you I have no idea. But just like you’re looking for answers, so am I.

Maybe we can look for them together.
