On Friday 13th, America engaged in an air strike on a religious festival in a village in Pakistan. The ‘terrorist’ they were after wasn’t there. They left behind 18 dead and scores injured. Pakistan is supposed to be a US ally.
Some senator, John McCain, defended the attacks by saying, “This war on terror has no boundaries. We have to go where these people are, and we have to take them out.”
It’s obvious that international borders are now meaningless in Bush’s blood-crazed eyes. It’s also obvious that the lives of innocent people inside an allied nation is also meaningless to Bush.
If you’re an American, and Britain decided to send in a few attack missiles against ‘terrorists’ in an American city, killing 18 Americans and injuring many dozens more, how would you feel about it?
And how would you feel about it if the British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, said, “This war on terror has no boundaries. We have to go where these people are, and we have to take them out.”
Britain, an allied nation, has just attacked your country, apparently in unsuccessful pursuit of ‘terrorists’, and in so doing, has killed and injured many of your fellow Americans.
