Investing into the future

investing

For quite a few years my journey has been to explore building wealth in my life. Coming from a background where I grew up with zero wealth, building it into my life is of high value to me. I’ve written a lot of posts about it, and I’ve been thinking about it, learning about it, talking about it, and even planning it. It’s in my mind all the time. I’ve been pretty successful for the most part (compared to so many other people), despite a few setbacks. But even with the setbacks I’ve had, I’ve considered them as lessons in my life to help me get better at building wealth.

Right now it feels to me that 2015 is my ‘comeback year’. 2013 and 2014 were very bad years for me, but 2015 is shaping up to be one of my best years yet. My work is going really well and I became a Lead BA today (I’ve got a BA assisting me part time with the work I’m doing, and a couple weeks ago I was involved in interviewing BAs to find someone to assist me full time, and they’ll be starting within a week or two), and I’m really enjoying the challenges I’ve got in the role.

I’ve started really digging in and researching and learning about property investment in Australia as well as wealth building strategies, similar to how I used to learn about it in New Zealand a decade ago. One of the things about learning about property investment and wealth building is that the more you delve into it, and the more you practice what you learn, the faster you’ll be able to build your wealth.

Back in New Zealand when I started this process, I had a lot of knowledge and motivation, but no money. Fast forward a decade to today, and things are a lot different.

I’m looking forward to a future that’s going to be much better than the darkness of the past couple of years (financially speaking).
