For a little while now I've been seeing some bloggers shifting their focus from writing publicly on their blogs to writing privately to email subscribers. It's helped them refine their work and provide better value content in a forum they can manage and track better than they could with their blog.
I've been feeling the desire to do the same, so I've just started my own mailing list and called it Alan's Thoughts. It just seemed to be the right name as I was setting it up.
Now I have to do some work on the signup form, as well as a page inviting people to join.
